  1. Hi, there! I found your blog from the Gardenweb under Seed Growing. I live in central Indiana and just started growing seed last year. I thought I would start mid-January this year and will soon. I'm so happy to have found your blog and to see you are so close to me. I'll be starting to plant my gathered and purchased seed, hopefully, this weekend. I'll visit here often to see how you fare. I assume you are in Zone 6?

  2. I live near St.Louis. I have daughter in Fort Wayne. I have been starting seed indoors for about 4 years now, it's my hobby. I will be starting some additional Petunia seeds this weekend along with Lobelia. Some of teh earlier sowed seeds will be thinned and transplanted. Coreopsis and pansies need new homes. Geraniums will be put in3" pots when they get their first set of true leaves. I will post some pics hopefully over the weekend.
    Thanks for the comment

  3. I popped in as I am fairly new to seed growing, but did start about 6 morning glories last spring indoors, and that was successful. Now I want to start more earlier and am trying to learn what to do. I live in the twin cities of MN

  4. welcome. Seed starting is not as hard some people make it to be. You need to find a place where the seeds get a constant temp during germination. This is what I feel is key. Temperature swings will delay the germination. Also keeping the seeds moist is critical. Sometimes I spray water on top of the soil mix if it appears dry.
